The Journey to Baby William: Riki-Lee and Sean’s IVF Story

The path to parenthood can be a winding road, filled with hopes, dreams, and sometimes challenges that test our strength. For Riki-Lee and Sean, their journey to welcome their precious baby William into the world was a heartfelt adventure, marked by love, resilience, and the miracles of modern medicine.

The Beginning of the Journey

Riki-Lee and Sean always dreamed of starting a family. Like many couples, they envisioned a home filled with laughter, love, and the joy that children bring. However, as they began their journey, they faced unexpected challenges that would lead them to explore the world of IVF.

Celebrating Arcadia’s 6-Month Milestone: A Vintage-Inspired Photoshoot

It’s hard to believe that Arcadia is already six months old! This special milestone calls for a celebration, and what better way to commemorate it than with a charming photoshoot that captures her growing personality? With vintage bonnets, adorable gingham outfits, and lovely rattan basket props, we created a delightful setting that truly reflects her sweet spirit.

Embracing Vintage Charm

For Arcadia’s 6-month milestone, we opted for a vintage-inspired theme that beautifully showcases her innocence and charm. Vintage bonnets added a touch of timeless elegance, framing her lovely face and highlighting her bright, curious eyes. These delicate accessories not only look adorable but also evoke a sense of nostalgia, transporting us back to simpler times.

Adorable Gingham Outfits

To complement the vintage vibe, we dressed Arcadia in delightful gingham outfits. The classic checkered pattern is not only stylish but also incredibly versatile, adding a playful touch to her photos. How is Arnhem-Sol 11 months old!

I swear I say this every month but the first year truely flies. A mixture between blissful chaos, sleepless nights and a whole lot of snuggles and infinite love!

I am sure if you’re still in the phase of your babies first year you can totally relate!

So here we are at 11 months old and it is time to do another milestone photoshoot. I had just finished up a newborn photoshoot that day and was in the middle of packing up the studio whilst Arnhem napped. I just had this urge to pick her up and pose her like a newborn again.

And she totally let me! Well with a bit of persistence of course! I won’t lie, it probably took me an hour to get her into bottoms up pose without waking her up. Everything I would pose her little hand or foot she would starfish out! But we got there in the end and it was totally worth the patience.

I love that I have a photo to compare to from her newborn shoot to her 11 month shoot.

When she was awake and her brother was home, I decided to capture few pictures of the both of them. Arnhem was dressed in her romper from tiny traders and we had used the new bamboo bed prop. They were so cute posing together.

At 11 months old, they truely have so much personality to capture!

Safety is the foundation

Firstly safety is the foundation for everything we do at Dreamy Moon Photography. We undergo numerous amounts of training. And are continuously updating our skills and knowledge in the industry. It is of utter most importance to our company that we provide you and your precious little ones with a safe and calm environment. By demonstrating and practicing safety throughout our sessions. Constantly updating, adjusting and tweaking our safety method strategy. We can guarantee that you and your family will have a safe and secure session.

Training

Secondly Dreamy Moon Photography commits to regular training each year. Thus forever expanding our knowledge on newborn and children photography safety. We hold a working with children’s check and have updated first aid training.

Our sessions are planned safely for you…

Thirdly our sessions are always hand on and meticulously planned around the safety of your child or baby. Newborn sessions always have a spotter onboard, whether that be Tiana, our assistance or parents. We always choose appropriate poses according to your baby. As not all babies like every pose. There are a number of poses that are photographed as a composite (this means two images combined into one, hand on at all times!). Poses such as froggy, potato and head on hand in a poser. When shooting cake smashes we always check in with any known allergies, to minimise risk.

Preparation Guide

Lastly When you book a session with Dreamy Moon Photography, you will received a detailed preparation guide that elaborates on studio safety and preparation. To ensure you have the best and smoothest experience in our studio.

Newborn Photography Gold Coast QLD | You’ll miss these moments

Why does time go so fast when you have little ones? It’s like we blink our eyes and they have grown double in size! Their little hands and toes, the sweet little features on their face. The rolls and the squish. We go to pop them into an outfit and they can barely squeeze into it. And you wonder, when, how… Did you grow so fast. We hold them and look at them everyday and some days are long. But the years, oh the years are so short. In a matter of time they are big an independent and you wonder how did the days turn into memories. The bitter sweet moments, at the time you wished would hurry up. But now you want them back. You want to hold onto those memories and make them last forever…

…And you can, well kind of. Through the lens of photography, you can freeze time. Treasure those memories and turn them into precious keepsakes. The art of turning your memories into forever. Time goes so fast when you have young children, we are caught up in the hustle and bustle of surviving parenthood. The survival guide and constant feeling of ‘am I doing this right’, that it is easy to get distracted. The most precious thing we can have is professional images of our newborn babies and children. Something to look back on and reminisce. Something to hold, flick through and soak in the memories of when they were so little. Because they truely grow so fast.

Best Newborn Photography on the Gold Coast QLD

This sweet boy was so adored during his session! His gentle personality shined through his studio newborn photography session. Mama and dada requested baby blue hues for their first son. Of course I had to run out and do a spotlight haul on some new fabrics for this session. They had some beautiful cream and blue tones, which I thought would go perfectly with this shoot!

The Planning

Keeping it natural and earthy, we incorporated some woven basket props and rattan into the set. Pairing the props with a natural beaded garland and some beige wool. To add texture, layers and depth to the photos. Baby boy fit perfectly in the mohair bonnet I recently ordered. He looked so precious in this setup.

The Session

When it was time to do bean bag poses, baby boy was so calm. When posed, both wrapped and unwrapped were his favourite. A content little one, he slept the entire time when being posed. His favourite position was the bottoms up pose. The baby blue fabric and wrap suited his complexion so well. We can forget about how precious those little newborn hands and toes are!

The newborn phase honestly goes in a blink of an eye. It is such a pleasure to be able to capture the sweet little first moments, for the parents to cherish forever. It is such a beautiful thing to witness our clients experience the Dreamy Moon Photography experience! We were blessed to be able to film some behind the scene snippets of this little man’s session. Newborn Photography Gold Coast QLD – Shine Photo Award

The Shine Photo Awards 12th Edition 2022

Firstly, The Shine Photo Awards are an international maternity, newborn, child and family photography competition. Submission entries are judged by a series of professional photographers. Who are experts in their fields. The focus lies on the technical skills, creativity and outstanding image effort. From the submitting photographer. Giving back to charity is an important part of The Shine Awards. As not every child is as fortunate. They work along side multiple charities to pay it forward.

Secondly, it was an honour to receive the Bronze Award. During the 12th Edition of The Shine Awards. Dreamy Moon Photography submitted the newborn photo of Arnhem-Sol in the froggy position. Posed on an oatmeal backdrop and a floral halo. The Shine Awards published our image alongside other winning photographers. They also shared our image on their social media accounts. Such as Instagram and Facebook. Congratulations to the other winning photographers who submitted their work into the competition.

Lastly, the pose Froggy Position is a pose that is photographed as a composite. When two images are merged together a composite is created. To create the final image. Hands on the baby at all times is important when photographing this pose. To ensure the uttermost safety of the baby. Each year Dreamy Moon Photography updates their newborn safety skills.
