Arcadia’s adorable strawberry themed session was the perfect reminder that these magical moments can (and should!) be celebrated at any age. As a trusted Gold Coast cake smash photographer, we absolutely loved bringing this vision to life for her special second birthday.

A Berry Sweet Theme Come to Life

From the moment we started planning, we knew this session would be something truly special. Inspired by all things sweet and whimsical. Arcadia’s setup featured the cutest red, white and rattan details, soft pink tulle. Delicate strawberry accents that tied everything together beautifully. The entire scene felt like a dreamy little strawberry tea party, perfectly styled for a playful and fun celebration.

Custom Details That Made It Unique

One of our favourite parts? Getting creative with our Cricut machine to design custom strawberry cake toppers. These small, thoughtful details added a personalised touch that made the session feel even more special and one of a kind.

Arcadia’s outfit was just as stunning her gorgeous dress from Arabella & Rose added the perfect touch of elegance and softness, complementing the theme effortlessly.

That not only looked beautiful but was perfect for those messy, joy filled moments we love to capture. It’s hard to believe that Arcadia is already six months old! This special milestone calls for a celebration, and what better way to commemorate it than with a charming photoshoot that captures her growing personality? With vintage bonnets, adorable gingham outfits, and lovely rattan basket props, we created a delightful setting that truly reflects her sweet spirit.

For Arcadia’s 6-month milestone, we opted for a vintage-inspired theme that beautifully showcases her innocence and charm. Vintage bonnets added a touch of timeless elegance, framing her lovely face and highlighting her bright, curious eyes. How is Arnhem-Sol 11 months old!

I swear I say this every month but the first year truely flies. A mixture between blissful chaos, sleepless nights and a whole lot of snuggles and infinite love!

I am sure if you’re still in the phase of your babies first year you can totally relate!

So here we are at 11 months old and it is time to do another milestone photoshoot. I had just finished up a newborn photoshoot that day and was in the middle of packing up the studio whilst Arnhem napped. I just had this urge to pick her up and pose her like a newborn again.

And she totally let me! Well with a bit of persistence of course! I won’t lie, it probably took me an hour to get her into bottoms up pose without waking her up. Everything I would pose her little hand or foot she would starfish out! But we got there in the end and it was totally worth the patience.

I love that I have a photo to compare to from her newborn shoot to her 11 month shoot.

When she was awake and her brother was home, I decided to capture few pictures of the both of them. Arnhem was dressed in her romper from tiny traders and we had used the new bamboo bed prop. They were so cute posing together.

At 11 months old, they truely have so much personality to capture!

The Sweetest session:

Karynne’s baby boy was the sleepiest little munchkin ever!

Karynne, her partner Steven and mother arrived in our studio to get some newborn family photographs done with their latest addition!

Traveling all the way from Lismore to work with Dreamy Moon Photography!

The session went amazing and bubba slept the entire way through. We started off by giving him a big feed as he had been in the car for over an hour and a half. After he had a full tummy we started the session. Posing him in several different props, such as the bamboo bed, round and rectangular basket.

Dreamy Family Photos:

The session was followed by family photos of momma and dad, then some solo parent images. Of course we had to get nanny in the images with her first grandson! We capture a few family images of the four of them and a solo shot with nanny and bubba boy.

Because he was doing so amazing we took him over to the posing bed and capture a pose in ‘bottoms up’ and some relaxed poses.

We always try to accomodate for our clients who travel far to come and do a session with us. So we had organised to do a viewing session in the same day. Whist I was lightly editing them image and making sure they were perfect, Karynne and her family spent some time looking over our studio samples.

There were so many sweet images to choose from Karynne’s and Steve fell in love with our luxury album and selected an heirloom to treasure for life!
